1. Environmentally Friendly Raw Material Selection
The foundation of green production lies in high-quality and eco-friendly raw materials. SemPacking strictly selects food-grade, recyclable or degradable base materials, such as food-grade polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), as well as bio-based modified materials and degradable composites like PLA and PBAT. All raw materials have passed FDA, GB 4806.7 and other international and domestic food safety certifications, ensuring no harmful substances remain. Meanwhile, we cooperate with professional suppliers to establish a closed-loop raw material traceability system, reducing resource waste from the source.
2. Low-Carbon Printing Process
In the printing link, SemPacking abandons traditional solvent-based inks and adopts environmentally friendly water-based inks that meet food safety standards, which contain no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and cause no pollution to the environment and food. We also use advanced flexographic printing technology, which has the advantages of fast printing speed, low energy consumption and less waste, while ensuring clear patterns and strong ink adhesion. In addition, we implement a digital printing and traditional printing hybrid plan to reduce plate-making waste and meet the needs of small-batch and personalized production.
3. Eco-Friendly Composite Technology
The composite link is a key part of ensuring the performance of flexible packaging, and it is also a focus of environmental protection control. SemPacking mainly adopts solventless lamination technology, which eliminates the use of solvent-based adhesives, reduces VOCs emissions by more than 85%, and achieves clean production. The adhesives we use are solvent-free polyurethane adhesives with a solid content of more than 98%, which are non-toxic, odorless and in line with environmental protection requirements. For different product needs, we also optimize the composite structure to reduce material usage while ensuring barrier performance and mechanical strength.
4. Energy-Saving and Emission-Reducing Forming & Inspection
In the bag-making and forming link, SemPacking uses fully automatic intelligent equipment to realize precise cutting and heat-sealing, reducing material waste caused by manual operation. The equipment is equipped with an energy-saving system, which can reduce energy consumption by optimizing temperature and tension control parameters. In the inspection link, we implement a three-level quality control system, conduct strict inspections on raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products, and use high-precision equipment to detect solvent residues, heavy metals and other indicators to ensure product qualification, avoiding waste caused by unqualified products being put on the market.
5. Recyclable Post-Production & Waste Treatment
SemPacking pays attention to the whole life cycle of products. We design packaging structures that are easy to recycle, and guide customers to participate in the recycling of packaging waste. For the waste generated in the production process, such as leftover materials and defective products, we carry out centralized recycling and reprocessing, turning waste into resources and realizing the recycling of materials. At the same time, we equip RTO waste gas treatment systems to purify the small amount of waste gas generated in the production process, ensuring that emissions meet national environmental protection standards.
