Spout Pouches

Pain Points of Custom Eight-Side Seal Spout Pouches

Custom eight-side seal spout pouches are widely used for liquid, paste and granular products, but many buyers encounter various troubles during customization and production.

First, matching sealing and spout assembly is difficult. The eight-side seal structure has multiple sealing edges, and mismatched material thickness or processing parameters easily cause poor sealing, leakage or bursting. In addition, the spout installation requires high precision. Misalignment will lead to loose connection and liquid seepage, affecting product safety.

Second, strict requirements for material selection. Different contents such as beverages, sauces and cosmetics need targeted materials with anti-oxidation, anti-corrosion and barrier properties. Improper material choice will shorten the shelf life of goods. Meanwhile, customized composite materials often come with long lead times and unstable supply.

Third, complex size and structural customization. Customers usually need exclusive sizes, capacities and special shapes according to products. The eight-side seal pouch has a three-dimensional structure, so adjusting dimensions will involve overall mold modification. Small-batch custom orders face high mold costs and cannot enjoy favorable unit prices.

Fourth, printing and color deviation problems. Brand logos, patterns and text on pouches require high color consistency. Due to the special folding and three-dimensional surface of eight-side seal pouches, chromatic aberration, blurred printing or pattern distortion often occur after mass production, failing to meet brand display standards.

Fifth, long production cycle and unstable delivery. From design confirmation, mold opening, material preparation to formal production, the whole process has many procedures. Any adjustment in the middle will delay delivery, which brings risks to customers’ sales and inventory plans.
